Pairs Pirates

 

In Pairs there are cards numbered from 1 to 10, 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, and so on. At the start you remove five cards and one card is on display in front of each player. The active player takes a card or passes; when he passes or is dealt a pair, the round ends and he scores points; in case of his passing he takes the lowest cards from the display of other players. Then you discard hand cards face-down. If you top a certain number of points, you lose. The Pirate set offers the version Harbor, in which points are a good thing and you win with 21 points. In the variant Starboard Bid you bid on a central hand of cards and their duration before a pair arrives.
