Horrified World of Monsters

 

We are monster experts and stumble on an arcane punk town around the Void, a gate between worlds from whence terror emerges. We fight Sphinx, Yeti, Jiangshi und the Great Ancient One, Cthulhu himself, once in the World of Monsters realm and once in Cthulhus realm. Every monster must be defeated in its own special way. A turn comprises 1) a hero phase with action according to tokens and playing of any number of advantage cards by all heroes, and 2) a monster phase with drawing and resolving a monster card from stack. Hero actions are Move, Lead, Pick up, Swap, Weaken, Defeat, Special Action or Reveal Hideout. Citizens turn up in the monster phase and can be taken to safety by Move and Lead. The three sections of a monster card – item, move and monster attack – are resolved in this order. The game is won, when all monsters have been cooperatively defeated, and it is lost when the Terror marker reaches the end of the track, or the monster cards are used up.
