Palavan
An island is laid out with 16 tiles. In the solitaire game there is an introductory version using 9 tiles in a 3x3 grid, edges of tiles must correspond exactly. For a game using all tiles in a 4x4 grid, there are solutions in three levels of difficulty, always with corresponding edges: easy – there are several separate land and water areas; medium – either land or water are completely connected; hard – both land and water areas are completely connected. In a game for 2 players you draw 8 tiles and lay them out openly. You alternate to place a tile, adjacent to at least one tile already in place; edges must correspond, maximal grid size 4x4. When nobody can place a tile anymore, you win with fewest tile in hand.
